Delete your Otloz account

You can delete your Otloz account and its data at any time. There are two ways to do it.

From inside the app

  1. Open Otloz and go to the Me tab.
  2. Tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm. You will be signed out immediately.

By email

Send a message to otloz.com@gmail.com from the phone number registered to your account, or include that number in the message so we can verify it is yours. We will confirm once the account is gone.

How long it takes. Your account is deactivated straight away and you are signed out. All data listed below is permanently removed within 30 days.

What stays, and why

Where you shared an expense with other people, that record remains visible to them, with your name shown as a former member. It is their financial record too, and removing it would leave their own accounts wrong. The same applies to messages you posted in someone else's event.

We may also retain limited records where the law requires it. These are not used for any other purpose.
